MTG Casino War for Avination - Configuration Support

Casino War Home | Release Notes | Configuration Support | How To Play

Getting Started:

To get your MTG Casino War game going you'll need to edit the games' configuration file which is located within the game. To do this, start by opening the file by selecting your game and choosing "Open" from the menu.

Once the file is open you will see a a list of options, these options all must be present for the game to operate correctly, removing an option completly may result in an unstable game. Should your games' configuration file become damaged, you can download a new one here and paste it into your file.

Default Settings:

At anytime you can replace your configuration file with the original settings which can copy from here.

The Options:

Minimum and Maximum Bet:   Example

These options set the least and most your players will be able to wager. There are some important things to consider when setting these.

These settings effect only the initial bets, players during the game will have the option of going to war which will double their bet so setting a max setting of 100 does not mean the most a player can have on the line during the game is 100, it only means that they can only start with 100.

MTG Casino War supports players who which to play multiple hands at a time. This is a per hand setting, so if you set a max of 100, the player will be able to bet up to 100 on each hand they start with.

Be careful with minimum bet settings. The min and max bet settings are used during the betting stage of the game and determined each time a player places a chip. Becuase the game uses chips like those used in a real casino, you need to keep in mind what is possible to do with those chips. For instance, if you set a min bet of 20, the real minimum the player will be able to bet will be 25 becuase they wont be able to put down 5 dollar chips. In reality this means that for low wager games, legimit min bet settings are 0 (or 1), 2.5, 5, and 25.

Minimum and Maximum War Bet:   Example

These options are virtually the same as the min and max bet settings except that they are used for the war side bet option.

Decks:   Example

The number of decks used during the game. If by some chance all cards are used during the game, an additional deck will be automatically added. All decks are always shuffled after each game.

NOTE: Increasing the number of decks decreases the odds of players winning the normal game, however, it increases the odds of them winning the war side bet.

Payment Settings   Example

These options set the amount the game will payout if a player wins the corrisponding setting. These settings should be set as decimals. So for example, in standard Casino War, a winning hand would pay 1 to 1, which is another way of saying 1. To figure this out take the first number and divide it by the second number. ie. 1 divided by 1 is 1.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: The player always wins their initial bet back in addition to this amount.

A Win is a player having a higher card than a dealer on the first draw.

A War is a player having the same card rank as the dealer on the first draw, note that this side bet is paid reguardless of if the player chooses to go to war or surrender.

A Double War is if the player went to war and then gets the same card as the dealer again.

The number of seconds the players will have to do any particalr part of the game. In laggy sims it's bets to increase these values. The game will auto advance to the next part of the game once all players have completed any particalur part of the game.

If a player enters the game during the betting phase, the timer does not reset.

Stoploss   Example

These are the amounts that will be used for the Quick Pay buttons when players go to pay the table. A 0 or negitive value for any of the 4 options will result in the button being hidden. This must be 4 integer values seprated by commas.

PAY OPTIONS=

Pay Options   Example

The amount of money the game can lose before it shuts off. This number should be entered as a positive number. Setting this option to 0 disables it.

The stoploss is caculated at the end of each hand. Players balances are not factored into this process and the game assumes that the player will cashout everything they can.

Table Texture   Example

You can paste the UUID of a texture file to be used as the tables playing surface here. If this option is left blank the game will revert back to its defualt texture. A sample texture can be found here.

TABLE TEXTURE=

Text Options   Example

Setting the "SHOW TEXT" option to 1 will have the game display some data like min and max wagers on the game as hover text. The text color is a vector which repersents the desired color for the text. A list of color vectors can be found here.
